Jeffersontown Area Ministries, Inc. (JAM) is a charitable, non-profit organization serving Jeffersontown and Fisherville, Kentucky. With support from the City of Jeffersontown, Louisville Metro Government, and area congregations, JAM stives to meet the needs of individuals and families living in its communities. JAM’s primary function is to secure resources, such as food, personal care items, financial assistance and other household items, for those in crisis. JAM also provides additional services, such as life skills training, to enhance the lives of those who live, work and play in our communities.

West Broadway Baptist Church is a “member” of Jeffersontown Area Ministries. This means that we, along with 19 other church congregations, have the opportunity to contribute to JAM in four ways: (1) financially, (2) by donations of food and personal care items, (3) by volunteering our time and services, and (4) by donating items to Goodwill in JAM’s name. Watch our newsletter for details on how we can serve our community in each of these four ways.

Each month, several families in our area depend on JAM to help them make ends meet. While several serving opportunities exist, JAM is in immediate and dire need of the following items, so that they may continue providing assistance to these families. Would you help? Bring one (or more!) of the following items and drop it in one of the “JAM Boxes” in the Narthex or Sanctuary:

Upon your next donation to Goodwill, let them know you would like a voucher in JAM’s name. Return the voucher to West Broadway be taken to JAM. JAM will be able to give the vouchers to people in need to be used at Goodwill. Please share this information with your families, friends, and neighbors!! We can all make a difference!!
