Necole's Place Ministry
Necole's Place is a ministry partnership with A Women's Choice Resource Center, a pregnancy crisis center in Louisville. They provide life skills and education through Bible studies, GED and parenting classes. We have the opportunity to serve lunch to these ladies on the first Thursday of each month. How can you help in this ministry? * Be a team leader, organize the food and volunteers for the day. * Prepare food for the lunch. We usually provide a main dish, salad, fruit and dessert. This can be dropped off at church during Wednesday night activities. * Help serve lunch from noon to 1:00 pm. A group leaves the church at 11:00 and returns around 2:00. You can also meet the group at Necole's Place at 11:40. * Pray that as we serve lunch to these ladies we will have opportunities to share the Gospel and encourage them in their walk with the Lord. Sunday School Classes Scheduled Jan - Fekete Apr - Dave Hume July - Fekete / Rice Oct - Dave Hume Feb - Gibson May - Dobbs / Dawson Aug - Dave Hume Nov -Wilder Mar - Wilder June - Jim Hume / Youth Sept - Dobbs / Dawson Dec - Gibson
The last Wednesday of each month, we will have a potluck dinner in the Fellowship Hall at 5:30 pm. The church will provide the utensils and drinks, and the congregation will provide the food (meat, meat casseroles, vegetables, vegetable casseroles, salads, bread and desserts), enough to feed your family and some to share. We know WBBC has a lot of great cooks, so come and bring a dish or two (filled with some good cooking!) and enjoy a time of food and fellowship. If you work and do not have time to prepare a dish, come anyway and donate a couple of dollars to the “Fellowship Potluck Fund” and the money will be used to defray the cost of plates, napkins...etc. Check the Church Calendar for the next potluck dinner.
